The next few weeks we will inform you about our plans this year.
Currently, we’re in the process of finishing three new songs. Within a few weeks, you can enjoy them as well! We're already even making some plans about the recording of another bunch of songs, but more about that will follow in the future.

Hey guys,
Some more news about the recordings. It's going very well, except for the fact Servaas is a real asshole 
. We are now focusing on four songs and the guitar recordings are almost done. Expect some more news in the near future.
Now it's time for some news for the fans that like more visual stuff. The progress of the recordings can be followed on our very own ControlState TV
We also would like to congratulate our soundman Bavo for becoming father for the second time. We would like to welcome his son Ilias in the ControlState family.

Update

It's been a long time since you heard anything from us and with this update we want to inform our fans what happened and what will happen around ControlState.
So for the last months, we regularly took some time off due to different commitments of some members: purchase and renovation of homes, birth of a child, exams and thesis... . Since even the studio had to move, the recordings were also put on hold. But since a few days everything is falling into place. The following weeks will be important for planning our agenda to enter the studio and record the successor of "The Powerhouse". More news about this process will follow in the near future.
About our new member Nick "Fluffy" Vyvey. He's is doing great: excellent musician & a beast on stage. We're looking forward to record and perform a lot with the bassbeast himself!
What about the shows? Well, our last performance was a blast. We've played at Rerumrock (Ypres) for a lot of people. Thanks to everyone who showed up. But sadly it was also the last performance of our friends Skulltula. We shared some great experiences and ControlState wishes them all the best in their (musical) future!
The 5th of August, we will perform @ STRAIGHTEN THE WALLS FEST (benefit for Vortn Vis). We hope to see you there!

Hello there,
Some sad & good news about ControlState.
Miguel had to quit CS due to his professional career.
More than a year ago, he started his own guiding company, called Rent a Guide (http://rentaguide.be/). Since the beginning of March there is also his own pub @ Houthulst: Den Trimard (http://www.dentrimard.be/). It's definitely worth a visit!
So we thank him for all the good memories and wish him and his girlfriend all the best in the future!
Miguel will be replaced by Nick Vyvey. He played already together with Bram in Blood Redemption (RIP) and plays currently also in Rafflesia (http://www.myspace.com/rafflesiametalcore).
He played already a couple of shows with ControlState and it was very promising for the future! You can hear him playing and giving an interview in the Urgent.fm session (Rommelkot):

Due to an educational trip to California, Pie had to sit out the show in Ghent last week and the upcoming show in Roeselare next week. His replacement is Maarten Valentin from our good friends Skulltulla (http://www.myspace.com/skulltula). Pie will be back for the release show of At World's End.
