Everything is going nicely. After losing his golden metal hair, Pie is hoping to pass his exams with his new "hunk" look. Mobi and Miguel both got a little bit closer to their midlife crisis by turning 30. As for now, we are still hoping that Mobi passes his puberty.
Some great news from the ControlState camp. Last Friday we played our last show before the release of the new album. It was great, but this means the release is getting really close now. Expect a preview of the artwork soon and we are hoping that we'll be able to let you hear a first song in the second week of September. Maybe I can tell you these things already. The album will be called "The Powerhouse" and is going to supply you with metal. It will contain an intro and 9 songs. The album also features the song "Feed the fire" which you can hear in a live version on our youtube channel.

Hey guys!
We're back, and better than ever! Last month we've been busy finishing our recordings. Next week the recordings will take the internet boat to Sweden to be mixed by Trille Traumatized. He will use some special ingredients and spice them up with some real metal from the dark world of metalminions. We're psyched about the recordings, I hope you will be too! Last Saturday we played in the rain on Parsipop in Rumbeke. After almost a month and half break we've really enjoyed ourselves.
What are the other summer plans? After the recordings, we are starting the preparation for the release show on the 10th of October. Expect a show like you've never seen before. Keep in touch, cause soon we will announce the name of the album, and hit you with our first promotional machine.

So last two weekends ControlState played their last two shows before the summer. As for now, evil long-haired metalmaster Pie will be locking himself up for four weeks studying the darkest history of metal and of course some other scientifical stuff. The rest of ControlState will be finishing some studio work hoping to finish it in time! Plans are made for the artwork, and we've already decided the name.
Some great news! ControlState is conquering Hollywood by being part of the sampler "Kill City 14" released under the label "272 records". It contains the song "The Heart Inside" and can be bought on Amazon

Hell yeah! At Sunrockrally in Heist, we were chosen first by the jury. Unfortunately we ended second overall though. We want to thank all the people who came out especially for us!!
Before we take a little showbreak (because dirty old Pie has to study) we will be playing 2 more shows: our first headline show in Poperinge, and Kantinefest in De Panne. We all want to invite you to come and party with us! Check the shows section for more info.

We have some great news. Our first album is almost finished. By October, we're gonna torture your ears!
There will be 9 songs on it and a couple of extras. A special release show will take place the 10th of October. So lock that date, because you just can't miss such a party!

In the meantime, Lucas is still updating our site. From now on you can find the lyrics of our promo on our discography page and check all of our past shows.
In the near future you can also expect to see the first series of photos. A big thanks to the webbeast!
Last week, we had a blast @ Vooruit in Ghent. Thanks for your support which lead us to the second place in the audience voting! Tomorrow, we're playing for a spot on Sunrock 2009 next to Maroon, Anchor and others.

We have created a new banner for our upcoming show on Saturday the 28th of March. We're participating in the Wacken Metal Battle, which is a contest in which the winner will compete against other Belgian bands to win a spot to play at Wacken Open Air 2009 in Germany. We're also inviting all our fans to join us in Ostend the 28th to support & vote for ControlState. The show will be at the OHK in Ostend, Christinastraat 59.

Yesterday we had a formal band meeting @ Sertn's place. A good number of topics were discussed. The only interference we had was from the Dookster, Sertn's cat, who didn't agree with these 5 guys having a couple of cold ones and talking about all things music. From show rehearsels, to studio recording time and a couple of live shows, the ControlState calendar has been filled for the next months so we can move forward. There's a lot of stuff going on in the band, all good vibes that will be translated in our future gigs. We will be giving regular updates so keep coming back

So what has become of ControlState? Maybe a cliché will explain all: We've been too busy with our music to keep this site updated. No that's not true, we're too lazy, that's all.
About a month or two ago we've started with the recording of our debut album. Check the vids on myspace with the studio report. The album will contain 10 songs and some surprises. We will keep you updated!
