Yes, finally!! Last weekend, Servaas entered the studio to record the first tracks of the follow-up of "The Powerhouse"! 12 songs are selected and you can expect more grunting, more melodies, more sing along, ... . We haven't chosen a release date yet, but it will be around fall 2011.
You can find us also on the second stream version of the e-magazine Rock/Metal/Punk together with our friends of Black Haven, Fatal Recoil, Open Sesame, ...

Our first foreign gig was a blast! We had a lot of fun and met tons of interesting people.

Server problems - ControlState On Air

After some server problems, the site is finally back online! The webbeast solved everything so in the next days, you can expect new shows, pics, reviews, ... .
As you all knew, we were selected by Dries Van Damme (After All) to feature in his show on Belgian national radio (Studio Brussel - Select).

ControlState On Air + First Foreign Show

ControlState will be featured tonight at Studio Brussel. Dries Van Damme (After All) selected us to spice up Stubru. You can hear us between 23-24 pm on Select!
We're also glad to inform you that our first foreign show is booked. The 5th of June, CS will be playing @ Kampen (The Netherlands).

We've received some reviews on "The Powerhouse". Most of them are quite positive. We would like to thank everyone for listening and for not mentioning anything about Mobi's ugly face. Frankfurt Musik Messe

Hey there folks,
It's been a while since the last update, but no worries we're alive and kicking.
A couple of weeks ago we visited the Musik Messe @ Frankfurt (Germany). It was a blast. We met some very interesting people and as you can see ControlState has been approved by Jeff Waters (Annihilator), Jeff Loomis (Nevermore), ... . Holy shizzle! Untill next year!
As we speak, we're finishing the preproduction for our upcoming cd. More than 22 songs were already composed by the Jaguar and it will be a hell of a record! If you want a preview, just visit one of the upcoming shows. We will be playing some new stuff. But don't forget, you can still download the Powerhouse for free on this site. Just register en spread the word!!!

Thanks to the internet, and maybe the fact that you can download our album for free on this site, the ControlState fanbase is growing worldwide. To illustrate, below is Helga, a ControlState fan living in South-Africa.
Whilst we are having a very cold European winter, Helga is enjoying nice and sunny weather in Johannesburg, as it's summer over there right now!

Hey guys,
Another update. After all the partying on christmas and new year ControlState is getting ready for a busy 2010. Right now, Pie and Bram are studying, trying to lift up the average IQ of the band to 80. Meanwhile, the other guys are preparing new songs. Sertn is producing so many new songs that my new 500GB hard disk is going to explode. I hope you keep in mind that you can download our new album on this website. See you in 2010 at one of our gigs!
We also would like to request your support in trying to send us to Metalfest in Austria in May. The bands with the most votes will be able to play at this cool festival. All you have to do is give us your vote. (see the instructions on the banner below)
Voting ends January 31st, so you'll need to be quick.

After some very busy weeks, we've finally found some time to write you a message. Our two release shows in Ieper and Gent were a big success. We'd like to thank everyone who joined us and gave us two nights to remember. Everyone who can share photos or videos or the show with us, be free to send them to controlstate@gmail.com.

Hey guys!
After some sleepless nights and nightmares about Mobi running naked on stage we've finally managed to finish our songs for "The Powerhouse". While the pressing plant is doing a really good job we are proud to use the newest technologies and stream our music on myspace. This way you will be able to learn the songs and sing-alongs by heart for the release on the 10th of October! We are really hoping to see all of you guys there cause: We will supply you with METAL!
